Homework is a very important
component of education. It serves as a link between the parents and
the child's curriculum, provides for a home-school connection, and teaches
responsibility. The homework policy for Room 5 is very simple.
Homework packets are sent home on Monday. Included will be worksheets
on spelling, math, phonics, and writing. The packets are due on Friday,
so it is up to the parents and the child to determine what is done each
night. It is best, however, to do spelling on a nightly basis as
spelling tests are every Friday. Most homework packets are the same,
however some children have slightly different packets since this is a mixed
