Calendar for the last week
of school:
Monday,
June 12: Regular school day
Tuesday,
June 13: Regular school day
Wednesday,
June 14: We will be walking to the park at 10:15 to have lunch and
play. We will be returning at 1:00 to have popcycles and watch Mrs.
Martin
play in the faculty vs. 5th grade softball game.
Thursday,
June 15: Last day of school, and it is minimum day. All children
should
be picked up or will go home on the bus at 1:00. Have a great summer!
Summer School
Summer
school will start on Wednesday, June 28 and end on August 2. We will
be at Cleveland Elementary school, not far from Monroe. Those of
you who have not received letters, don't panic. All students in Room
5 who filled out summer school paper work are in my class.
School
starts at 7:45, and the students arrive on the bus at approximately 7:35.
Breakfast is NOT served, so please feed your child breakfast at home.
Lunch will be included and served at 11:00. For those children not
on free or reduced lunch, it will cost $1.00.
In addition
to keeping our skills sharp by doing daily reading, writing, and math,
we will be studying dinosaurs and will be doing a special unit on money.
There will be a classroom store set up to help teach money, and it should
be a lot of fun. Plans are underway to do another "camp out" on the
last day of summer school; information to follow.
For those
children not attending summer school, have a great summer, and I will see
you in September!
