Welcome to the CSULB Wetlands Ecology Lab !
Our lab studies "all things wetlands" from microbes to
fish. We are interested in how human activities influence
the structure and function of coastal wetlands,
particularly food webs. Our projects include work on
the impacts of non-native and invasive species, altered
hydrology, climate change, and restoration in fields sites
from Baja to San Francisco.
Specific projects include evaluating
impacts of sea
level rise on decomposition, studying the
impacts of sediment augmentation, modeling restoration
success, understanding habitat requirements of
endangered birds, tracking
fish movements in an urban lagoon, and quantifying the
impacts of several non-native species.
If you are interested in applying to the M.S. in Biology program at CSU Long Beach in my laboratory, please follow the link below to learn more about program requirements and my laboratory.
