Teslatron PT frpm Oxford Instruments with 1.8K insert, He3 insert and vacuum cell-rotator insert
Measurements down to 300mK and up to 12 Tesla

Shared facilities at the Department of Physics and Astronomy

The Physical Properties Measurement Sysytem (PPMS) is located at room HSCI 235 at Prof Jiyeong Gu's lab. It allows measurements down to 1.8K and up to 9T. It operates with a modern variable speed helium compressor and counts with options for magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity and torque magnetrometry measurements.
