Materials science is the design and development of new materials. This modern interdisciplinary field is at the interface between physics and chemistry. Through external funding, we have created the Keck Energy and Materials Research Program (KEMP) that provides an exciting, cutting-edge, and research-driven educational experience for undergraduate students in the high impact science of energy-related materials.

Students in Physics can earn a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Physics, Option Materials Science.
