Welcome!

The Department of Geography at Califoria State University, Long Beach, is proud to host the 2007 Annual Meeting of the Association of Pacific Coast Geographers. The conference will meet from the 17th to the 20th of October in dynamic downtown Long Beach at the Hilton on West Ocean Boulevard.

The program features an opening reception on Wednesday the 17th, a Thursday filled with field trips in this fascinating region ending with a Cambodian dinner, paper sessions and panels on Friday and Saturday, and an evening banquet on Saturday the 20th.

The guest speaker for the opening reception on Wednesday is Jenny Price, author and environmental historian. Her presentation is entitled, "Los Angeles has a river? Resurrecting the most famous forgotten river in the United States." President Kate Berry has put together a plenary panel for Friday evening, which will address "Mainstreaming Indigenous Geography." Saturday evening is the gala awards banquet.
