THESIS OPTION
If you chose the Thesis Option:
- You must have a GPA of at least 3.3.
- You will need to find a CECS Faculty member who is willing to serve as your thesis advisor.
- You must take at least 6 units from CECS 697/CECS 698 (min. of 3 units of CECS 698).
- You will need to Advance to Candidacy before you enroll in CECS 697/698.
- You will need to have your written thesis proposal approved by the Graduate Curriculum Committee.
- You will need to give an Oral Defense with your three member Thesis Committee.
- You will need to format your thesis according to the University Library guidelines.
- You will need to complete your thesis following the University Library deadlines.
NOTE: A Thesis typically takes longer than the Comp Exams to complete.
