Martian Meteorites: Where, When, How?
Antarctica is fertile ground for Martian meteorite hunters. The combination of cold and dry weather preserves meteors far better than any other place on earth. To date, scientists have found more than 20,000 rocks on Earth from outer space. Of that number 34 are believed to be Martian in origin.
