- 8 steps:
- Downloaded PDS Geosciences Node CSV files on all 901 APXS readings from July 1997 to November 2016
- Integrated them as one common database in OpenOffice Calc
- Geocoded each record ...
- Standardized oxides and elements for each record against means and standard deviations for all 901 records in Calc
- t-scores moved into PAST) and K-means clustering done with the arbitrary K=15 request
- Descriptive statistics for each standardized oxide and element calculated in Calc for each of the 15 clusters
- 15 clusters were grouped into 5 “metaclusters”
- Converted part of the database back into CSV for mapping in Google Earth Mars
