An Introduction I The Materials Characterization Laboratory carries out forefront research in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, and provides educational opportunities for students. Research performed at MaChaLa includes but is not limited to experimental and theoretical research in: Variable Temperature Scanning Laser Microscopy for the study of novel materials, Atomic Force Microscopy for the study of Biological Specimans, and Computational Physics.
