This contest was held in conjunction with students from Mt. San Antonio college.  About 8 people competed on identical contest courses of either black tape on white tiles, or white tape on black; or in one case, the same robot ran on both.

While setting up, Martin LaRoque demonstrated a toy $8 fire truck which was capable of line following.  It successfully ran the contest course, although not with a winning time.  We all thought that we could do at least as well for only a couple hundred bucks ;-)
