Thinking and Evaluating

The Translation

“This article tries to explain the disconnection between perception of college student drinking habits and reality. It attempts to show discontinuity between perception and reality by stating that there are misconceptions of drinking habits among students themselves. It goes on by explaining the possible psychology behind the habits with the idea of “dual ignorance” where a student in reality drinks due to social pressure, but rather rationalize by thinking that drinking alcohol is an inevitable consequence of college life. Finally it states that those students who are “abstainers” and would prefer no alcohol when attending social events, actually consumed alcohol when attending said parties.”
