While this may sound like a "simple" concept, it also requires quite a bit of training.
Before you begin, you must be a certified diver, with ADVANCED skills. NEXT, good, thorough training and/or experience in ocean kayaking is a must. (this can be accomplished through kayak classes, or a good class in kayak diving).
In order to dive from a kayak, some special equipment and training are needed.
