I hold the position of Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1996, followed by a Ph.D. in Statistics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, in 2002. Since then I have been teaching Statistics courses at CSULB, and I take great pleasure in my work.
I serve as an undergraduate advisor for Applied Statistics, act as the faculty supervisor of the Statistics Student Association, and perform the roles of treasurer and eNewsletter editor for the Southern California Chapter of the American Statistical Association (SCASA). Additionally, I co-coach the Southern California ARML team and initiated the High School Student Research Program in Mathematics/Statistics, along with being an editor of Intelligence Planet, an online journal where high school students can publish their research articles.
