BIO OF M.B. KHAN


M. B. Khan is Professor of Information Systems in the College of Business Administration at California State University Long Beach. Previously, Professor Khan served as Interim Dean and Associate Dean of the CBA and as Chair of the Department of Information Systems.  

Author of four textbooks in information systems and contributing author of two other texts, Professor Khan published research articles in several journals. His research interests are in information systems management, information systems education, and information systems professionals. His research has been published in Information & Management, Journal of Global Information Management, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Human Systems Management, Journal of Information Systems Management, Journal of Educational Technology Systems, Journal of Systems Management and International Journal of Management.

He has consulted for Hughes Aircraft, the City of Los Angeles, the State of California and United Arab Emirates. His business experience includes four years of software management at Texas Instruments, and four years of systems consulting for the State of Texas and commercial organizations.

Listed in Who is Who in California in 1990, Professor Khan received several awards from California State University Long Beach including the Most Valuable Professor of the College of Business Administration in 1997, the Faculty Member of the Year in 1993-94, and the Meritorious Performance and Professional Promise Award for five years.
