Pilot Balloon Nozzle and Weight Set Aero - 1945 - USN
Below are images of a Universal Balloon Balance, Type Aero - 1945 - USN. Stock No. 18-B-372, manufactured by Wallace and & Tiernan Products, Inc. Belleville, New Jersey. This set is used with 10, 20, 30 and 100 gram balloons and hydrogen (could be used with helium with additional weights or lower ascent rates) for both day and night time (with pibal light) ascents. The set has a number of components including a valve assembly, various weights and nozzles to fit different balloon neck sizes.
