While studying hard will be my main focus, I also plan to be a typical tourist and visit all the famous places in Taipei. A few of these include...

Chang Kai Shek Airport

Chang Kai Shek Airport

This is the very first place I will set foot in Taiwan, so I figured I should give it some credit as it is my first and most important destination. Here I will be picked up by a fellow student and escorted to 台大 where I will move into my dorm.

Taipei's Night Market

night market

There are several night markets in Taipei, this one is called Shilin. It is not only the biggest market, but the oldest as well. Over a hundred years ago, people sold produce and fish, today, it is more like a carnival with games, shops, and tons of people.

Taipei 101

taipei 101

Taipei 101 is THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD!!! It has 101 stories and is 1,671ft high. It is even more awesome because it has a mechanism that counteracts earthquakes and typhoons. If I get up the guts, maybe I will go all the way to the very top.

National Palace Museum

National Palace Museum

The National Palace Museum holds is the home of many national treasures. Much of the collection at one time belonged to emperors...it is the "Smithsonian" of Chinese museums according to my favorite teacher Mr. Jeff Winters.
