you can control with its front panel. Suppose that the function generator
is set up to maintain +5 Volts for 5 seconds, and then switch to -5 Volts
for 5 seconds, continually repeating the cycle. On the graph below,
plot the voltage vs. time.
Now suppose the function generator is set up to start from 0V, rise
steadily (that is, at a constant rate) for 5 seconds up to a maximum of
+5 V, and then steadily decrease back to 0V in the next 5 second.
Then, the pattern repeats itself. On the graph below, plot the voltage
vs. time.
