LATEST NEWS ON PUVUNGNA

There has been not much new since our Puvungna Update: June 26, 1995.

Here is our latest hotline message.

Hello, this is Wednesday morning, July 12, and you've reached the Peter Carr Peace Center and with the latest news on the struggle to save the sacred site of Puvungna.

There will be no Coalition Meeting tonight. We have changed our meeting time to the first and third Sunday afternoons at 5 pm. Our next meeting, therefore, will be this coming Sunday, July 16, at 5 pm at the Puvungna site. We expect our meeting will be a short one, so try to be on time.

To find us, enter the campus from Bellflower Blvd onto State University Drive, take your first left onto Earl Warren Drive, then another left into the parking lot. The fenced off Organic Gardens are up the hill to your left, Jim AlvitreÕs camper is to your right, back by the Eucalyptus grove. Look for us either in the Organic Gardens or in the Eucalyptus grove.

If you have questions or want further information, please leave a message now or call Eugene Ruyle in the Department of Anthropology at 985-5364.
