Course Policies - English 100

Late Policy:

No late papers will be accepted. We all lead busy lives so don’t procrastinate and deadlines won’t become a problem.

Attendance/Drop Policy:

The nature of Writers’ Workshop demands your participation. In order to become an effective writer you must also become an effective reader. Participation in peer group evaluation depends on everyone. Be there to support your fellow writers. Good attendance is expected and mandatory. If you do need to miss class please call or leave me a message. You may, without losing a grade, miss 3 class meetings. Any absence after 3 will result in the drop of one full grade per three classes missed, I.E. if you have an "A" you get a "B" with 4 absences, a "C" with 5 etc.

If you need to drop the class please adhere to the deadlines as published in the Schedule of Classes. It is your responsibility to be aware and adhere to all of the published guidelines.

A word about plagiarism . . .

The University has specific guidelines regarding plagiarism, please familiarize yourself with these guidelines. Plagiarism information can be found in the University Bulletin. If you have a specific question regarding plagiarism, please ask.

Grading

No incomplete grades will be given without medical validation; it is the student's responsibility to submit work in a timely manner, and to complete the requirements of the course within the fifteen weeks of the semester.
