Valerie Richardson


Doug and Valerie Richardson founded Long Beach Christian Fellowship in their home back in 1983. Doug and Valerie were married in 1978 and boast of two great sons, one wonderful daughter-in-law, and two amazing granddaughters. From the very beginning, Doug and Val have approached pastoring from a team perspective.

Doug was raised in a Christian home and came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at the age of seven. During his early twenties, he came into a dynamic experience with the Holy Spirit that resulted in him entering the pastoral ministry. In 1979, Doug received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from California State University, Fullerton. Doug received a Master of Divinity degree from The King's Seminary in 2002 and completed a Doctor of Ministries degree in 2005. Doug's specific focus was upon increasing trust in the local church.

Valerie was raised in Long Beach and attended Millikan High School . During the early years of their marriage, Valerie focused on the family. She home schooled their sons through the elementary years while helping to pioneer and establish Long Beach Christian Fellowship. In 2004, Valerie completed her Master of Divinity degree at The King's Seminary. Valerie and Doug's desire is to serve this congregation with vision, passion, and excellence.
