Kim Coryell

"Leader equals servant" is the core of Kim Coryell 's life here at LBCF. She serves as Business Administrator and Staff Overseer and her door is always open to staff members needing direction, encouragement and assistance in all areas of life and ministry. She has helped each of the staff be more focused and directional in their areas of ministry as well as the oversight of the daily life of upgrading computers, upgrading our web-site, upgrading the quality of ministry. Kim says her core value for being on the administrative staff is to equip the pastoral staff to minister to the congregation without having to be bothered with some of the daily activities of running the church. She has embraced that value and has encouraged the rest of the staff to embrace that vision as well - and to do it excellently.

Excellence in every area is at the center of all Kim does, and to impart that value to those she is in relationship with is a high priority. There is no detail too small for Kim to notice and find a way to do it better or more efficiently - and to equip the person responsible for that detail to reach for excellence is her aim. Few people know how far-reaching her influence is here at LBCF, which attests to the excellence with which she does her job.

Another of Kim's values is to serve her community in a life giving way. To that end she has served in the American Youth Soccer Organization since 1998, and is currently the Commissioner for Region 177 - Long Beach/Belmont Shore. Her desire for the league is to gather a team of people dedicated to serving kids and creating a positive environment for them to play soccer. This team includes each board member, coach, referee, parent, volunteer and of course each kid. Kim's focus is on building life values - not about personal gain and agenda.

Kim accepted Jesus as Savior in February 1983 when she was 15 and started attending LBCF when she was 17. In 1996 Kim started as church secretary and as the church grew and as more staff members came on board her duties expanded and she is now the Staff and Business Administrator.

Kim's wholehearted acceptance of people and her desire to see them achieve their potential is something for us all to aspire to.
