William Schickard

William Schickard was born April 22, 1592 in Herrenberg, W�rttemberg (in what is now Germany). Schickard was educated University of T�bingen. In 1613, after receiving his B.A. in 1609 and his M.A. in 1611, Schickard became a Lutheran minister. Schickard accepted an appointment to as a professor of Hebrew at T�bingen University in 1619. In 1633 he became a professor of astronomy at T�bingen. Schickard died in T�bingen on or around the 24th of October 1635.
