The Trade Off
A good method must weigh the aspects of all three measure against one another. One must attempt to use a method that maximizes all three elements, but is still reasonable to use in everyday life. A powerful method that only applies to one type of problem is of limited use, even if it is lightning fast, while a universally applicable powerful method is of no use if it take years to reach a conclusion.
