"Statistics in Physics"

The use of statistics is prevalent in some areas of natural sciences,
especially in biology. In physics, there are many cases that demand
statistical considerations. It appears that we may shy away from such
important applications in physics when possible. This talk is to
advertise the importance of such treatments and illustrate the
significance of statistical calculations in physics by discussing two
cases: 1) Use of statistics for calculating limits, and 2) Pattern
recognition schemes. Hopefully, you will discover that these discussions
can have practical applications even in your area of interest.
