On Campus Funding

The Graduate Studies Resource Center has provided a very helpful guide for finding financial assistance exclusively for CSULB students. Be sure to look carefully through the available funding sources to see if you qualify.

Funding specifically for students in the College of Natural Science and Mathematics can be found here.

External Funding

It is a must to fill out the FAFSA if you are seeking financial assistance to help you pay for your degree. In addition, the folks at the Graduate Studies Resource Center have also provided an extensive database search for external funding opportunities.

Working On Campus

Many students in the MS program work in the department in one of the following capacities:

GA: Graduate Assistant: Responsibilities include grading for large lecture classes, and staffing computer labs and tutoring center.

TA: Teaching Assistant: Instructor of record for an entry level course, or facilitate activity sections for large lecture courses.

If you are interested in working in either capacity, please follow the instructions given on the department website. You are recommended to initiate the process at least one semester in advance of your desired start date.

Other locations on campus where our students have been hired are included below. You are encouraged to contact them directly to determine whether they are hiring.
