Students may get involved in Dr. Ahrens lab in a number of ways.  New team members first join a Journal Club where they read and discuss research articles related to one of Dr. Ahrens' current research projects.  Students who perform well on the Journal Club are then invited to become Trainees where they shadow and are trained by current research assistants.  Students who perform well as Trainees are then invited to become Research Assitants who help with data collection, analysis, and presentations of data from one of Dr. Ahrens' current research projects.  See the Research Projects link above for more information about current projects.
